Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Crawford the Paddle Boarder

Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Crawford (born February 20, 1966) is an American model.

She's a supermodel, businesswoman, mother and wife.

And it appears Cindy Crawford is somewhat of an action woman, preferring to stay active on holiday instead of lazing around.

The stunning brunette enjoyed a spot of paddle boarding with husband Rande Gerber as they vacationed in Hawaii this week.

Gabrielle, 43, and Laird, 49, who wed in 1997, have two children Reece, nine; and Brody, five.

The Crawford-Gerbers' action-packed holiday have seen them taking a boat cruise around the Na Pali coastline and visiting a farmer's market.

At the market, Cindy was showing off her tanned legs in a pair of denim cut-off shorts.

Recently, Cindy opened up on why her first marriage to actor Richard Gere failed.

The couple divorced in 1995 after four years of marriage, which she admitted was down to their 17 year age gap.

She said on a new episode of Oprah's Master Class: 'I just think your twenties, for women, is such a time when you're starting to come into your own and feel your own power and connect to your inner strength.

'And it's hard to do that, it's hard to change in a relationship, because what one person might have signed up for, all of a sudden, you're not that anymore.

'I think I was more willing at 22 to be, like, "Okay, I'll follow," but then you start going, "Well, I don't want to just follow, I want to lead sometimes and I want to walk side by side sometimes."'

The couple started dating when she was just 21 when they were introduced as a barbecue at photographer Herb Ritts' house in 1987.

She recalled: 'We pretty much started dating right away. When I was with him, that's when I was becoming well-known as well.'
